Food was delicious, nice varied menu and very reasonably priced. We had a starter, main, pudding and one alcoholic drink each which with a 10% service charge came to just over 50 a head. Ate here while staying in Cardiff for just one night and absolutely made the right choice! Sorry we're not closer to come back again!

Something special! Highly recommend trying this place. The calamari was probably the best I've ever had. The chicken burger was so tasty. Definitely try the Coconut Martini with dessert, it was stunning! Best place I've eaten for ages. Staff were so happy and smiley and gave every table individual attention even with a couple of birthday parties, a few groups and me on my own. Great work everyone! You can see why there are so many award certificates hung up on the wall

Spent a wonderful New Years Eve at the Brook Bistro. We always enjoy coming here as the food is great and they are very dog friendly. 3 course meal at 49.95pp was good value for money but a glass of spritz/mocktail on arrival would have been a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (scallops, monkfish, lemon posset). My lemon posset was slightly runny at the bottom, don't think it was quite set. The flavour was gorgeous though. Overall, we loved our evening and would consider spending new year's eve there again.

Lovely welcoming Staff from the get go!! The Brooks Bistro salad isn’t just a salad....its a filling concertina of flavours. Prosecco with the bottomless brunch was fresh and fruity and didn’t taste like the mediocre bubbly often used at other restaurants. Thank you for a great lunchtime x

I went with the misses to try out the summer lunch menu and it was absolutely amazing. The food was so fresh and had so much flavour . The restaurant looks absolutely amazing and they got a cute garden out the back. Great for summer vibes. I highly recommend the rack of lamb . I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. Another fantastic visit with a couple of friends for a late lunch. We ate off the 2 courses for 21.95 menu and the food was superb, especially the desserts! I thought the dessert I had on my last visit couldn’t be beaten but the summer Eton mess was to die for! Great value for money and lovely staff. I can’t recommend this independent restaurant enough. Looking forward to eating in the new garden area next time if the weather is better!

Me and my partner booked a table here for a Sunday roast - it was a surprise booking for my partner but I decided after looking at the menu and seeing ‘slow-roasted leg of lamb’ as well as the many Mediterranean inspired dishes. The food was incredible, it was fresh, quick to come out and absolutely worth every penny! However, the service absolutely outdid the food if that was even possible! We were warmly greeted and taken care of by multiple staff members who even helped me write out a Welsh birthday message for my friend! I have already recommended this place to my friends as there is nothing I can fault especially with the beautiful decor! We will definitely come back again

Me and my partner came here for brunch and we were both blown away by how good the food was. The staff were kind and attentive, the seating and atmosphere was comfortable and warm and the food was outstanding. They even had Big Thief and Sufjan Stephens playing in the background so they get extra points for great music taste also. Highly recommend, can't wait to return.
